About this creation
October 2005

-----

Leather interior, landing gear. Light laser cannon and FLAM Missiles. Assymetry and sleek curvy hull. And yes, it does fit a minifig.

These are a few of my favorite things.

From start to finish this moc was nearly a month on the construction block. The guys in the CSF Spacewerks forum were there for the whole ride and supplied great feedback and suggestions. And the folks who gave the incomplete moc a good look at NWBC and shared their thoughts: thank you.

It all started with the intakes. The originals were significantly larger and dominant, but in the finished model they are slimmed down considerably.

   What a bird sees.

   What the ground sees.

At first I wanted to call this an ion cannon, but in the end I decided it would be your standard laser cannon. Nothing like good old fashioned shhot-em-up style.

Oh ye of little faith. Of course it holds a minifig.

   For Lenny, with love.

..ignore the Jawa behind my head. Dunno how the little freak got in there.

love the 3/4 shots - fat up front, slim in the back. As I commented before, the blaster cannon w/ offset cockpit makes this unique in combination with the sloping body lines. The color choice is very blue-berry... zinger. Cheers! ~ Paul.

Awesome! What a cool, smooth little ship. How on earth you could force yourself to scrap all those earlier versions, however, I have no idea.

I gave it a four, but only because I liked the look of the WIP with the engine vents of top of the front part of the engines. Other wise this is still one nice model ;-).

Watching MOCs develop is like watching children grow... for want of a better cliche. Like a lot of people I miss the big front intakes, but I think the look isn't that bad. I wouldn't change a thing.

Yes, indeed, I'm sobbing so hard my beach towels are unusable forever...Feel free to leave insults at my e-mail. Very awesome, Ryan. Asymetry rocks, at least for those who know how to do it. It's complicated for the rest of us. Build more cool stuff. -Phil

Shearly exquisite! I absolutely love the off-centered-ness of the cockpit. The design of the front it amazing. I just want to see who the pilot of this piece of artwork is. ~ The Legohaulic

Slicktastic. I like how you gave the top side really sparse but slickness-enhancing deatils, while the undercairrage got the full greeblage tratment. The landing gear seems almost like an afterthought, but this ship was not made for sitting still, was it?

Curse you! You remind me to acquire more dark blue, because it's like a yummy taffy. And you've molded it into a wonderful shape with nice details. I looked at the prgression pics you put on Brickshelf.com, and I have to say I kinda liked the angled intakes more, but this is still a great MOC.

Hey Ry, I'm afraid I didn't get a very indepth look at it in real, but it's pretty awesome. A perfect example of when asymmetry works. Pretty cool, and the angles are pretty seamless.
