The General Lee
The General Lee, a 1969 Dodge Charger from The Dukes of Hazzard.
About this creation
The General Lee. What more is there to say? It's the freakin' Lee!

Note that I don't endorse the rebel flag or anything, it just happens to be on the car.

Please see the Brickshelf gallery for more images as well as some amazing high-quality renders by FBTB member "OUTATIME".

Justin: It was a toss-up between red and orange, but most of my reference pics indicated orange as more accurate., such as this:

Stinger: I appreciate your review, but that's not constructive at all. How is "Make it in real bricks" helpful to me as a builder? That doesn't show me what I could do better in the future. Just so you know, I am currently primarily a CAD builder as my LEGO collection is incredibly low at the moment. Next time you review a model, please judge it on its merits or faults as a creation, not on whether or not it actually exists.

Front 3/4. The vehicle was built starting at the front grill to make sure it all stayed to scale.

The words "General Lee" on the roof were, unfortunately, impossible to produce without stickers.

Yes, I had reference pics for the engine. I did take some creative liberties with it, though.

   Wheel wells!

Who cares if the doors don't open? They do on mine. Why? Because your mom.

Tan leather interior all the way.

Probably my least favorite shot. To get everything on the inside that I wanted done, I had to skimp a bit on the underside.

Looks like the real deal in the show! WOW is all I can say. Now you should make Rosco's Police car and have a scene of the police car chasing the General Lee

YEEEEEE-HAW! Dude, that is awsome (stick with orange, stick with orange, stick with orange). I love the underside shot (your least favourite) - it's a completely realistic shot of the General jumping over something! Love your work, and that ain't just whistlin' dixie!

Nice Charger, man! I bet you wich (as do all of us) that you had enough orange pieces to make it a reality. Good work!

That's pretty cool. I'd like to see it realised with real bricks, though. Don't bother with orange. Make it yellow and take pics under gloomy lighing :-)

Shouldn't it be a bit more... red? Still, very good otherwise. Never cared much for the show, but... *waves little rebel flag*!
