A Fighter
About this creation
The LL-077 was one of the most heavily armed ships of its era.
Capable of decimating ground targets and maneuverable enough to more then hold it's own in a dog fight with the emerging threat of Blacktron.
Its only drawback was its own firepower, if all guns were fired at a target straight ahead the ship it would stop it's own forward momentum after only 5 seconds of firing, and early test pilot often found themselves in negative spins.
Built March 2009 as part of the Neo Classic Space celebration of 30 years of LEGO Space.

Hi Mark, I really appreciate that you've added so many cool ships to the "Vic Viper Owners Club" - Thanks for that! :-)) But I'm afraid I have to insist on the "Vic Viper Rules". All of your spaceships look really cool but some of them don't fulfill all of the three necessary criteria for a Vic Viper. This one for example has no single dorsal tail. "Upholder", "Scaran C2", "Nephro" and "Jomeno" don't have it, either. "Fury" has it, but no rear lateral wings. I repeat, they are really cool, but following Nnenn's original instructions all those spaceships are no "Vic Vipers". I'd say it's like having a Lamborghini in a Ferrari group ;-)) Would you please be so kind and remove them from the group and - please, please, please - leave the rest of them in the group, because those are awesome examples for Vic Vipers :-)) I'm sorry I have to insist, but what I wanted was a "Vic Vipers only" group. Thanks for your understanding and thanks for adding your awesome Vic Vipers to the group :-))
The LEGO Vic Vipers rules that Nnenn created are based on the first Gradius game Vic Viper fighter. The name however was used by many other ships in the subsequent games - many of which features multiple or no tail fin at all and both forward and rear sweeping wings - these ships were fine with Nnenn, but he asked for stricter Version 1 rule following in the Novvember building event. If you are applying the strict Novvember rules that's fine, sorry about the mix up, these would have been (and are) acceptable in the Flickr Vic-Viper group.

Nice! The choice of name is spot on. Why not add some more guns up front? Attack! |
