Thanatos, Toa of Necromancy
My entry to BFD's Toa and Black Fantasy contests and Mythological Bionicles' Titan contest
About this creation
Named after Thanatos, Greek god of Death. Different from Hades, who is the god of the Underworld. In Greek myths, Thanatos plays the role of our Death.

Thanatos stands 11.5" high and uses the mask from the limited edition Ultimate Dume set. Truthfully, it's not even attached to the head, just slipped into a small hollow directly in front of the head. His body actually looks fairly human proportioned.

Thanatos was once a simple Toa with EXTREMELY bad luck. Just as his luck would allow, he was captured by the Makuta for an experiment. The Makuta had acquired a small sample of the Black Fantasy, and wanted to see the result of exposing a Toa to it. Thanatos was the result. Overwhelmed by the dark power of the Black Fantasy, his/their mind and body were warped and twisted beyond recognition. No longer a simple Toa, he/they became an insane weapon of death and destruction. He/They gained the ability to wield the chaotic magicks of necromancy*. He/They obliterated his/their cell and totally annhilated the Makuta. Now he/they wander, leaving a trail of shambling carcasses, craters, blight, gore, and destruction wherever he/they go.

*Necromancy is a forbidden sect of magick that will eventually drive the wielder insane if they are not careful. Necromancers are capable of animating the dead, conjuring miasmic mist, and unleashing powerful dark curses to name a few. Subsects of Necromancy include, but are not limited to: the Summonmancers, who are capable of summoning horrible fiends, the Necroblights, capable of turning paradise to wastleland with their suffocating blight; and the Hexmancers, capable of unleashing potent and often torturing, if not lethal, curses.

Full body view.

Frontal view.

Feet.

Legs. They use a special technique to create impressive stability. They are fairly accurately scaled to look more human.

Here's the technique: in order to create stability, I essentially made his/their legs go up to his shoulder.

Just an awesome pose.

His/Their main weapon: dual saw-drills that just rip almost anything to shreds. He/They can also spew Black Fantasy material and blight from them.

About to fill the surronding area with Black Fantasy and blight.

The last thing you'll ever see...

Just when you thought you won...

@rakshi party No, he did not make up the name. Nor did George Lucas. The Greek thought it up. That's why it's the name of he greek god of death. Did you even read the description. Anyway, great creation!

no, sorry, I can't really get a fix on what it is... I looked every pic several times now, and I just can't focus it. Maybe it's just a photografic effect...

Those shoulder guard things really add something to the overall effect, and prevent much blockiness. Not Bad.

Quoting Yuri Fassio I find no reason to give it less than 5, yet something bugs me... I really can't say for sure what it is...
It might be my unorthodox leg stability method... or the fact that his weapons appear to melt into his arms.. or the fact I used a Phantoka body...
