A German DB 425 train I saw in Koeln (Cologne) Germany.
About this creation
A while ago I went away for a weekend trip to Koeln (Cologne) in Germany. I greatly enjoyed many things about the city but one highlight was sitting on the riverfront watching trains roll in to the station. You get a nice collection of trains in Koeln including ICEs and the Thalys but one that really caught my attention was a red commuter EMU.
About two weeks ago I decided that I finally wanted to build this train. Unfortunately I had no idea how to look for German trains. Fortunately I found a tiny picture of a similar train and asked on Lugnet (here) and found out it was a DB 425 I wanted.
I finally got around to finishing the train a couple of days ago. It is an extremely flimsy design which changed half way through the rendering when I discovered something was unbuildable.
Hey, you did a great job! Although I have to say that the class 425 is a four-section train. Due to the fact that you hit the shape of the train so perfectly, I´m giving a 5 out of 5 - four sections or not! If you have any questions about german trains ask me, I´m a locomotive driver at the S-Bahn Rhein-Main in Frankfurt a.M.! There we use the class 420 and 423. Btw a good website for german commuter "Triebzüge" (lots of pics): http://www.et423.de/
