Judicator - sector control battlecruiser
This ship is a couple of years old now. I'm not so sure I'm 100% happy with it now, but I thought I'd upload it. See what you guys think.
About this creation

The Judicator is a rather heavy and slow ship. But man, does it pack a punch. It has been known to take on three enemy battleships at the same time. The fact that it still exists indicates who won.

Here's some info. It isn't much, but our secret service so far has had quite some trouble getting more information about this ship

  • Length: aprox. 1400 metres (0.87 miles or 1531 yards) or 99 studs

  • Years of service: 40 (standard)

  • Sectors under its control: Alnair, Almaach and R Coronae Borealis

  • Crew: unknown

  • Engines: 10 engines of unknown type, probably nuclear powered

  • Weapons: 2 PlanetPwner™ guns on the main deck; the sides and bottom of the ship are riddled with smaller guns and turrets. But nothing that can seriously damage a capital ship.

  • Number of fighters: unknown (at least two squadrons of twelve medium fighters each, but possibly a lot more). On one encounter, it carried a squadron of twelve large bombers.

  • Scale: microscale

The bridge seems to be located at the bulky aft of the Judicator (photos above and below). We have reasons to believe this is actually a fake -designed to deter attacks from the real bridge- which is hidden somewhere else on the ship. We do not believe the bridge is located somewhere in front of the ship, but it could be anywhere inside the city-like structure of the aft of the vessel.

Oh my god, it's coming right for us! Here you can see some of the guns located at the flanks of the ship.

Aft section of the Judicator shows the ten engines and power dome, along with its main sensors and some fighter-deterring artillery.

It's quite unique for PlanetPwner™ guns to be located on a ship. Until now, they were only known as enormous defensive cannons, used by solid-planet bases. This is also the first time we see two PlanetPwners together. Really, the nerve of these guys...

The black ship of the fleet right? You've really managed to make it fearstriking and massive. A splendid job with the camera, it's tough to get good pictures of a black creation...

Quoting Yuri Fassio Incredibly amazing. And it qualifies as a Black Fantasy, too :) btw I meant to ask you about your buddy icon: Who's the guy? Where did you find it?
Cheers. I guess Black Fantasy is a theme on here then? I hope I won't get harassed by people of opposite factions now! ;) The guy in my buddy icon is me! Here it is bigger: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/mediocre1/mediocrebyothers/steef.jpg I do a lot of silly photoshoppery for a website called b3ta.com. I've been trying to link to my website with most of my 'shops on it, but this comment thing keeps eating my reply, for obvious reasons :) Here's how to find it: go here http://stephandeprouw.tumblr.com and click on the longest link in the top bar (the one beginning with "what are we..."). Now you know why it keeps eating the url :)

Quoting Sput N!k What I like best about this is the flat front deck. It's like the deck on a sea-faring vessel. Very cool, man!
Thanks. I like the flat deck too. It's somehow more menacing. You know, keeps you guessing what might be underneath.

Love the shape and love the colour (a personal favourite). If it wasn't so big, it looks like it would be seriously swooshable. Lee.

Quoting Mark Kelso Steef's back in black...and lookin' good. Nice design. A rather sinister looking ship IMHO, which is cool. So how's that pink one coming along?
Thanks. It's coming along nicely, but I have to admit it's also a little purple and silver, because I have exactly eight pink pieces ;)

Quoting Justin Sanders This is a great ship! Did you get the name for it from one of the weapons from Metroid Prime Hunters?
No, and that's because I'm apparently not up to date with all these games and sci-fi comics and suchlike. All I know is starwars, aliens and a little old school Gallactica :) I just came up with the name myself.

Wow, thanks again for the nice replies, folks. Really appreciate it.
Quoting Ultramarine Skiver Not bad! I'm having a little trouble with the color combination, but I like the design! As you know, I'm a fan of 'Bow shots' of the approach, and yours is just amazing! Thanks for the comment on my Dawn Bringer.
Colour combination? It's all black! With some trans orange, of course.

Once again you combined oceangoing and spaceship themes into the same vessel. The orange-on-black color scheme gives it a particularly menacing look. That's a LOT of black bricks.

Nice work! The top design is preety simple and flat, it could be more curved, but anyway this looks great!
