Personal Gunship
About this creation
COMPLETED -- 04/28/2009
Yes, this is a VOAT but more specifically it is a VOADT (Variations on a Different Theme). The credit for this bubble cockpit design goes to Nate Bush. Over at the VOAT group we were discussing what parts could be used to make VOAT more accessible to people with mostly recently released parts. Nate's idea fit the bill. So, this is my fourteenth VOAT.
Fun story! --
Glorious was born a Clone on Kamino and was exactly like the other Clones except for one thing: he was born with the highest midichlorian count ever! He was totally unaware of this until he was stationed on Naboo and encountered the flamboyant Gungan Jedi, Bon Bon Jappa. Perhaps because of his blindness Master Bon Bon was more receptive than other Jedi to sensing the force and he was shocked by the power he felt in Glorious. He secretly took him as a Padawan Learner. Glorious soon discovered that he had the unique ability to extend his lightsaber with the force.
He once prophesied to Anakin Skywalker that he would save his son in the future. Anakin gave him a hug to thank him in advance.
When Order 66 came, his clone self tried to shoot himself but his Jedi self kept on deflecting the lasers until he finally was forced to cut off his right arm. He refused to fight his Clone brothers so he went into exile. He got rid of his Clone uniform, got his arm replaced with a mechanical one which actually functioned as his lightsaber, dressed himself in traditional Gungan attire in honor of his master and lastly, he built himself a ship that was nostalgically styled like a LAAT that could carry a speeder bike and disappeared.
Much later, during the battle of Yavin, a deadly laser was about to hit a deadly strike on Luke Skywalker's X-Wing but just then a lightsaber blade shot up from Yavin and deflected it back, destroying the Tie Fighter. Glorious had fulfilled his own prophesy.
The last reported sighting of Glorious was two months after the second Death Star had been destroyed. His ship was seen near the forest moon of Endor. In reality, Glorious was going there to encounter an evil Sith Ewok. No one knows if he was victorious.

Nice way to tie in the SW VOADT cockpit to a SW design. And may I say: Best. Story. Ever! I also agree with Ben: this is much better than that Mysterion nonsense that was around a little while ago...lol |

Nice backstory and awesome MOC. The new cockpit design is a lot better than the other "VOAT 2.0" idea people had. I really need to make another one of these... |

Okay whoa. I love the messed up backstory, it had me laughing! A wonderful parody of the usual MOCpages Star Wars stuff. Of course the build is excellent as well, and it's good to see another VOADT! I'm happy you like that design. Nice one, Uspez! |

What a great MOC! I really love the shape of the RGS, and what you did to it is awesome. Loving the cockpit (although you state it's not your idea) and the colour design. Looks like a LAAT from Alien ;) |

One of my favorite MOC from you ! The combination of an awesome design (good job with the Nate's front design and the "Dark Gunship look") and a truly hilarious story. Beware of the Sith Ewok lol Awesomely cool !!! |
