Guardian of the Lake of Kyrag’tis: Solat
The inspiration for Solat is Talos. Solat-taloS (get it?)
About this creation

The fourth of my Cryptids of Sirrush series. Includes instructions for the eye.

Solat is a herbivorous cryptid seen by few. It is unknown whether she is a biped or quadruped, as she is capable of travels on two legs as easily as four. She is estimated to be over 24,000 years old, and still in her prime. Her body is sheathed in scales impervious to both weapons and magic. She is extremely fast and strong. She is believed to be the last of her kind. Her forelegs end in some sort of pincer.

Before the inhabiting of Sirrush by Humans, Elves, and Fincayrans, the mountains to the south were untouched. And in the center of the mountains was a massive body of water filled with mystical power. When the Elves came to Sirrush, they retreated into the quiet of the mountains but did not venture near the lake. When the Fincayrans came, they took to the forest to the west of Sirrush, and cared not for the mountains. However, the Humans soon made their homes in the center of Sirrush, and sought to map the lay of the land. When they reached the lake, their wonder got the better of them and they tried to enter. The magicks of the Kyrag'tis expelled them from the lake, and the Humans fled. Kyrag'tis, knowing what would eventually happen if this continued, asked his brother Ski’var’renu to use his magick to forge a race of beings to protect the lakes that were sacred to Kyrag'tis. He did, and the result was Solat's kind. To this day, they protect the sacred lakes from those who wich to exploit the magicks of the lake.

Bye!

How to do the eye.
Needed:
1 Shadow Leech
1 rod of any length, but 2x1 is best
or a half-rod, half-pipe.

Step 1: Position the rod to the center of the front of the Shadow Leech.

Step 2: Apply push the rod into the Shadow Leech until the Leech is turned inside-out.

Step 3: Don't remove the rod and attach to your MOC!

I call this process "gumdroping" due to what the inside-out Leech looks like.

Now for an update on my WIP character sketches of Gaia. This is number three: Gaia playing her ocarina.

Additions: her ocarina, the gloves that she wears when playing her ocarina.

Quoting Gringat The Stormlord The MOC kinda remids me of the SPORE Midnight Armour sporecast. Don't know if you've encountered it? Also, good job with the sketch. I myself would never post one before I'd inked and coloured it, however. Although then it wouldn't be a sketch... You in the lego art group? (I forget the name. Some sort of acronym...)

I do like the sketch. I would also have to agree that a ocarina is hard to draw.

Sorry about that... It's just that ocarina's are so hard to draw, and I still have a long way to go... Best analogy for the ocarina was from a friend of mine: "It's the Mona Lisa of musical instruments. There's so much detail in a small area."

What do you think of my sketches. Will you use the eye though? That is the question.
