About this creation
---- So I finally got around to posting some new pictures, I actually have been building quite a bit. This will be part 1 in a series of updates chronicling the completion of Brickchester.
---- First off I want to give credit to Sean Kenney for the design for the white building, as well as the basic design for a few of the other buildings. I've also used the scale he used when creating many of his incredible city themed creations. A portion of the city is kind of like a tribute of some sort to his Greenwich Village and his other city stuff. However it also doubles as a statement towards the builders who always want directions for everything they see, "omg gimmeh teh insturktions plz!!1one". Just by looking at the pictures Sean's buildings, and with a little thinking, I was able to recreate one of his buildings (there are a few differences, but those are due to lack of pieces, and because I didn't think it necessary to copy every detail).
---- As for the next update, plenty more bricklink orders have yet to be even tapped into, and plenty more are still on the way, and plenty more are yet to be ordered... and I have to remortgage my house...
---- I estimate Brickchester is around 40% completed based on how much more space needs to be filled, as well as the intended inclusion of 5 skyscrapers, only 1 of which is done. Check back often for updates. All of the buildings are or will be available on their own separate pages.
---- So... if you've read this far, hopefully your interested enough to leave a comment and rate, I mean its only fair that since you've already wasted enough time reading this useless that you should take even more of your precious time to leave ME, someone you don't even know, a comment! By the way, I don't really own a house.
Alternate title building. And below are just a bunch of different pictures. Enjoy, and if you do please leave a comment and rate, even if you hate it I'd still love to hear your comment and rating!
Yes my first skyscrapers were slightly mediocre, now Brickchester sports this nice
^This is my favorite picture of the skyscraper, I like the angle which the shot was taken at.
From all the available pics I've seen of Brickchester, you already have a more than respectable layout. You want to keep going until it reaches 6x8 feet? Craziness -- in the best possible way. Keep it up!
That's a nice looking group of buildings. It looks like someone's shooting a movie on the roof of the white building which I like. I like the windows turned sideways. That's a great idea. Nice looking street and sand green building. see ya. garth
So, let me get this straight? Not only do you want me to spend my time reading that whole thing, but you want a comment as well? Sheesh... This is looking GREAT! The highrise is beyond "nicley" done and I gotta tell ya, that roof top party looks like the place to be! If this is only around the half way mark, I can't wait to see the finished product! Keep it blocky! ~ Chris.
