Gunrunner
A two seater heavy combat Mecha.
About this creation

The Gunrunner was built to be a versatile Warrior Mecha- to be at home in open country and to assist in Urban Warfare in close constraints.

It has also proved surprisingly effective in jungle conflicts- though of course it can be heard coming from great distances!

It is equipped with the ‘Viper’ hi-penetration magnetic coil particle accelerator cannon as standard on the ‘right arm’ hard-point.

Due to this weapons slow rate of fire many pilots request the AT01 Super-Vulcan Gatling cannon for the ‘left arm’ hard-point, despite its obvious bulk and weight.

The two ‘shoulder’ hard-points are most often mounted with Hell-blast missile launchers which have proved so effective in deployment with the Gunrunners little sister the “Counterblast”.

The chin mounted weapon is a double Starlord machine gun for anti-personnel operations.

Corporate sponsorship displays the winners of the fuel and communications contracts for the Mecha, this style of advertising is common since the arrival of full immersion War coverage on 24 hour News Networks.

There were some early issues with the communication set up as the frequencies chosen were the same as an almost obsolete cell network.

This led to an embarrassing incident where a Gunrunner turned up at an accountants home to take him to the heliport instead of the hover-cab he had ordered!

I started out building a colour variant of the Counterblast Mecha I built last week, then I got inspired by the Boba-Fett window and had the idea for a bigger version. I then got a bit carried away!

Built: May 2009.

Quoting Kai Grieb Well, sorry for wording that a little odd. I don't have... a regular mind, if you will... I have Asbergers Syndrome, low on the autism scale. :( It confused me a bit with the instructions. I like it when the instructions go mostly brick for brick, and I don't do well with implied problems. Sorry for offending you... -_-
It's okay - I wasn't offended just a little bit confused - the counterblast instructions seemed good to me, I guess they are tough to follow if logic leaps are stressful/confusing for you. I hope you can figure it out sometime. I really don't have a great amount of spare time at the moment so I still won't be making instructions for this one though!

Quoting Kai Grieb Hey man! This looks great! Would you mind posting some instructions so I can attempt to build this? I was wanting to construct something to battle my Transformer army, and the counterblast in the Lego adventure book just isn't large enough! Besides, it's a bit too skippy on some of the steps. So, could you please provide some coherent instructions on both? Thanks!
What? The Counterblast instructions in The LEGO Adventure book took over 5 hours to photograph and Megan Rothrock then spent over 60 hours cleaning up the images and laying them out in the book. Many people have built perfect copies from them - and you what a better version? And instructions for this much larger Gunnrunner MOC too? If you aren't able to build the Counterblast there's no way you could build this, plus I don't have the time - no, it isn't going to happen.

Quoting Jason B. Which piece is inside the small crates for the missle launchers?
i wondered that to. it is a very common design. the piece is one of those bionicle balls with an axle stuck through it http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x201 this is a link to the piece

Aaahhhh yes, nothing I like to see more than Star Wars sets having given up their flesh to build something cooler than Lucas ever dreamed up in his posh SF ranch. Great use of Fett's canopy and some battle droids!

Quoting Areetsa C Bigger, better, much more dakka. Nice work. Let's see the bigger twin-cockpit model with the optional shoulder mounted ICBMs!
Bigger? Right, I'd better dig out the rest of my AT-AT hinges then! :P Not sure it can be done, but maybe I'll give it a shot - probably need to have 4 legs though!
