Modeled after a small 1930's hotel, "The Amanda" is 5 stories tall and one of the oldest buildings in my city. When completed in June 1998, it stood as the tallest building for a short while. It has since been surpassed in height but stands proudly as a symbol of days gone by.

What's Inside
The Amanda is a hotel with 2 rooms per floor, each with a radiator and a bed. The top floor has a presidential suite with a cool "woodworked" dresser, a torchiere lamp, and a king-sized bed. The first floor contains a lobby with a front desk and waiting area. The rest of the floors contain smaller rooms with radiators and 2 beds each.
Design Notes
The Amanda is built on a 16x10 stud base, and is cantilevered over itself where the front steps rise to meet the first floor. It is approximately 18 inches tall.
The building uses a whole ton of cool little pieces like 1x1 round grey plates and grey tiles and things to simulate woodworking in the furniture and walls.
