It is the fifth of December, 1329. A European monk walks alone throughout out the dark night, he hopes to collect wildflower, and simple herbs. He mumbles slowly to be one with his prayers.
His name is Friar Monté, and every night he wonders the forests to be a peace with himself and god. He wishes not to take part the the war, and only socialites with his fellow monks.
His monastery is located on the southeast portion of Europe, just north of the Mediterranean Sea. For 3 decades to remains undisturbed, excluded form modern society. A sole tower built by the ancient Europeans stands tall to defend the monastery from attack, it is believed to be blessed and that no army would be able to conquer it. La Torré de Alcázar.
Friar Monté looked out at the horizon of the ocean, in the faint light of his torch he seemed to see distant ships heading his direction, it was then that he heard cannon fire, followed by loud fiery explosions. Hundreds of men scaled the cliffs toward the tower. He quickly ran into the distance, and the protection of the forest.
5 hours later, December 6th, 1329.
Friar Monté returned to the tower and looked around in disbelief. A group of 1,000 Chinese rebels had planned to attack the southern end of Europe by boat, they landed at La Torré de Alcázar.
The guards defeated the army of rebels, but with a number of some 400 devastating casualties.
The Friar looked around, his monastery had been destroyed, the forest burned, and most of the monks slaughtered. He gazed up at the tower, it stood tall under the sun. After the huge battle the tower still stood tall in victory.
Looks like you and I are messing around with similar ideas (referencing the Apocalypsis WIP I posted a few weeks ago). Great idea to use the christmas light...probably safer than my candle approach! I'll be interested to see how your story plays out. Nice look of the damage on that tower, by the way!
SWEEET!!1 you should totally do a modern battle scene with that setup!
imamgine! snipers in the tower, marines in the river, it would be awesome! think about it
PS.love the original MOC, tho its kinda sad
