The idea of a big sword came from Izzo, but the sword itself is 100% mine. I even made a basic frame for it.

It's not even close to the Gospel! Look at Izzo's Hero mecha. It's much closer to that than it is to your VG. Please don't try to take all of the credit. Look, you just triggered me to make a religous mecha, but it was in no way based off of the VG. I never even thought about your mecha while I was building. Infact, when I reached V.3 I even stopped thinking of Izzo's mecha and started making the Revelation my own. By the time I made the salvation, it was totally different from Izzo's and not even close to yours. With my style, I tend to put morefocus on the head, which is what happened with the Salvation. Also, when I stopped thinking of Izzo-style, my building started coming from myself and flowed.

What matters is that venius and revalation are each good in there own way why do you two have to fight. Dali. Phong may use cheese wheel pieces and all the parts you use but even with the same parts it all comes down to the way one themselves use these parts to truly show how one builder is truly different from another. Pay real attention to both your mechs I can see various amounts of similarities and differences . The fact Phong in of it himself is not directly copying all of venis gospel and just changing the name to revalation in of it self makes it truly different. Also the fact you say how he himself was truly inspired by venis is not entirely true I can see how he took designs from other stuff like Type a8 temjin, Freeedom gundam, and this one attack from castlevania. Izzo when I first saw reva v1 I knew that his looked somewhat similar to your venis but the first thing that poped in my head was. He so stole from temjin a8

Look even though you think someone can't be unique without other people the fact you can take other peoples beliefs decide which morals you think are right and get rid of the ones you think are bad mix em up and come up with your own ideals and belifes and make your own reason for living, breathing, talking. Even though what you say can be only some what true the fact man as an individual can stray there own path find out what they belive in makes some one them self uniqe in that aspect.

The only influence I see from Izzo is the most of the building technique and the big sword. I'm just saying a lot of people think your theme is too similar to mine.

It's not at all based off of yours. You gave me the idea to make a theme, but mine is based off of Izzo's Hero Mecha. Remember, that was the Revelation's main influence. However, when I started my own style, I edited the Revelation by my own influence.

@Ryan: it's no coincidence that a lot of other MOCers get our themes mixed up with each other, Phong's theme is pretty much based off of my theme with subtle differences. Why else would someone think that Venus Collective is Phong's theme?

dali don't get angry... the revelation assembly theme is not the same as venus collective... they r unique... venus collective is more smooth edged and soft and sleek... now revalation assembly is more sharp and anime-ish... so for this argument i say phong FTW!

Solitary confinement man wouldn't think about being himself because he would not be able to grasp such a concept. Being yourself is such BS because sometimes you just have to bend over to other people's will.

Coffee doesn't make your personality, so that statement was moot. If you made a better analogy, you'd find you can shape yourself. How do you think that someone in solitary confinement from the day they were born would develop their personality? They can do it on their own. Remember when I was talking about my homophobia and you told me that people are born liking the same gender? That means that they were not influenced by an outside source to develop that trait. As much as it grosses me out, they're individuals.

Being yourself and being unique are mutually inclusive. You can't be yourself without being unique, and you can't be unique without being yourself. So when I talk about being unique it's really the same thing as being yourself. Without me, the Revelation mech probably wouldn't exist. The Christian theme, angel wings, white armor with black underneath motivated you to build your Revelation mech. Then you combined that with some of Izzo's techniques, and thus came about your latest mech.

Is Revelation going to be like your Venus Collective?

No, individuality is being yourself. It's not a matter of comparison. You've got it mixed up with the concept of being unique. However, I prefer being myself over being unique. That way, I don't have to depend on anyone but myself. as for "Who are you without other people?" that only goes for being unique, not an individual. You've lost sight of what individuality really is. If you can stay who you are without the influence of other people, you're an individual. If you are who you are in comparison to other people and end up different, you're unique.

If you think about it this way, an individual is defined by who he or she is compared to others. You can't be unique without other people. Going off the beaten path is definitely a good thing sometimes, and you seem to be discouraging that. "Be yourself" is the biggest motivational lie I've ever heard. You can't be yourself without other people. Who are you without others?

Have you looked at the back of Venus Gospel? Angel wings right there, before yours. We both spam tiles and cheese slopes, that is the same, but I'm not blaming you for that. Replace trans-lightblue/lime green with trans-blue/blue, and you see the similarities are too much.

Does your theme use Angel wings? Does your theme use as many tiles and cheese slopes? Does your theme use trans-blue or any trans colors? The only similarity between our themes is white being the base color. Other MOCers need to look deeper into things.

The thing is though, if I free up the accent color, your theme basically fits my theme. Other MOCers have pointed out that your theme looks just like mine except with blue accents.

Well, as long as I'm not accused of copying, I'm fine.

To the average MOCer, the only difference is lime green to blue. We both use T pieces, headlight bricks, 1x1 clips, cheese slopes, and 1x1 tiles excessively. It's true that our technique is very different, but when people see Gundam-proportioned mecha, they think they all look really similar with the main difference being color. I'm thinking of freeing Venus Collective to not just lime-green accents. Venus Collective from now on will be free to any accent color, but the build most be smooth, curvy, and it must have white/black. Perhaps my next MOC will be an example of this, to show that Venus Collective is a definitive building theme and not just a color scheme.

They don't imitate and I am not copying your theme. This theme started with Izzo's Hero mecha, but then you told me to go Phong-Style and I decided to make a theme out of that. I got the idea of making a theme from you though, but my theme is actually very different from yours if you take the time to look closer.

Dali, I meant that it's going to be my "theme" in the same way your Venus Collective is yours. This is in no way a copy. Look at the different techniques and parts usage thay my style uses. Can you honestly say it's a copy? I'd say you have it backwards. The only thing SIMILAR to the Venus Collective is the color. Either way, just because you made a theme with white as the main color doesn't mean that people who do so later on are copying you. Everyone has their own theme. Mine just so happens to have a somewhat similar color scheme to yours.

I suggest revising your MOCs in this theme so that it doesn't imitate my theme. Then again, it's up to you and I can't really do anything if you copy my theme.

You just said "Yup" to "Is Revelation going to be like your Venus Collective?" he's got a point, your theme is too similar to mine, so similar that it is more or less a copy. The main difference is the change from lime green to blue.

Probably my favorite aspect of this set is the play value. There's a lot you can do with the ship. The pics with it standing up make me wonder if it can't walk around as well as fly. This would make a good one of those mini-vehicle sets that Lego makes. The base and the support vehicles just make it even cooler
