Sorry my last update was so... boring... anyway I'm back with progress!
The carrier had a lot of budget set backs so completion date has been set back a few weeks. I finished the first section of hull and found out... oh darn, I have 10 2x4s left!! so I placed another bricklink order (thanks to our pop-bottle money!)
Order #1: PAB (E.T.A.) Arrived!! -main order
Order #2: Bricklink (E.T.A.) Arrived!! - aircraft parts
Order #3: Bricklink(E.T.A.) Arrived!! - aircraft wings/ flooring
Order #4: PAB (E.T.A.) 1 week - mainly under slopes
Order #5: Bricklink (E.T.A) 2 weeks max - 1x3x5 wall pieces
Order #6: PAB Has not been ordered yet - small amount of smooth pieces to finish the landing deck pattern.
Island structure 100%!!!!
Island interior / electronics 50%
Hull planning 70%
Plane #1 99% waiting for weapons - waiting for fourth order
Plane #2 99% waiting for weapons - waiting for fourth order
Helicopter 97% have to finish ASW components
Deck lift 70%
UAV #1 100%
UAV #2 0% might be replaced by another jet of some type.
ya know, it's strange how I've noticed this but it seems that modern carriers have much larger superstructures than the carriers of old, I wonder why. I mean my WWII carrier has a superstructure that's much bigger than yours. Are you modeling your carier after any pariticular one? or just free forming a modern looking one? Well I'm glad to see you island is done, it looks really great, I need to do two more stories for mine, I've only done the top yet. this is going to be such a long project. ~T
