A second attempt at Miniland scale.
About this creation
A cozy lodge in the Sierra Nevada.
I'm still not really sure about this. I started by building the entrance, with the ornate door, tiled floor, wooden posts, etc., and I loved it, but then as I stretched outward to the walls, I couldn't match the same level of detail. Which kind of sucks. So the building is, in my opinion, a smidgen meh. But because the lovely Heather LEGOgirl saw a pic and told me - in caps - to post it, I've done just that, and named it in her honor. Thanks, babe.

Yes, everyone will succumb to Heather's stroking eventually... Great build Alex! The detail on the entrance with the tile work is awesome! Maybe you should polish this up a bit (based soley on your opinion BTW) and bring it with ya to BW! I'm sure we can find a slot for you to slide it in! ~ Chris. |

Awesome...I'm back from being "Heather LegoNag" to "Heather LEGOgirl"...I guess the stroking is working on Shannon. I knew he would succumb eventually. |

I kinda see what you mean, the upper-story walls are a bit bland compared to the ground floor, which is fantastic. I know it's tempting to succumb to Ms. LegoGirl's ego-stroking, but you must resist! The builder knows best whether it's a failure or not! Now get back to shining lights through holes, or whatever it is you do well. |

There is so much to love about this MOC Alex! I can't believe you almost didn't post it. *slap* The luggage is cute. The lamp in the entry awning is all win. The brick/stone work at the base also looks really nice. Just overall great building and presentation. |

Good entrance way with very nice tile work. You've captured the look of these places. Before reading the caption I thought you'd used a real place as a model. see ya. garth |

Okay, you get the perverbial "dope slap" for not wanting to post this. I can understand the whole quest-for-perfection-thing, and obviously it's your call, but...there's some nice work here. Were it not for our heroic Miss Mittns we'd have missed out! |

Yeah, it's ok.
Seriously, a very nice design with excellent details. I like the decorative flourishes, and the entrance is perfect. The placement of elements truly does give it that mountain lodge look (I've only seen them in magazines -- I'm extremely afraid of public areas in mountainous regions.) |
