The mining operation on the planet Baunmaald continues.
About this creation
So far, it seems that the mining operation has gone quite smoothly. After revealing a good number of rubies, which the Mining Foreman hopes will lead to a big payoff at the end of the week for him AND the miners under his command; the Mining Foreman called on the Saw-Man to cut the rubies from the rock and start to store them in the carrying crates.
If the miners on the planet Baunmaald don't meet their quota, they won't get it taken out of their pay check, but if they manage to exceed their quota, corporate will look at installing a "Palace", one of the biggest benefits a mining group can get, not to mention a huge incentive to work their you-know-whats off.

After the okay from the Foreman, the Saw-Man gets to work and quickly.

It doesn't take long for the Saw-Man to start severing the rubies from the rock. With a small canister of acid mixed with a reserve of water in the base of the saw, the rubies are quickly harvested.

The Saw-Man sets his saw down because he is done on this part of the deposit.

Although the Saw-Man is not new to the job, he gains more respect every day by making haste during his job. He knows, much like the other miners, that getting improvements made to the planetary operations means that corporate is looking to make these miners the best in the galaxy. That means a better pay and much better benefits than they have now.

Returning with a crate, the Saw-Man begins to place the rubies he just harvested into a delivery crate.

The Mining Foreman comes by the enter the data on how many rubies they've collected so far. Even though he is disappointed, the operation still has a lot of potential despite how poorly it has gone so far. They just aren't getting to the core of the deposit yet, and they are running out of time for the day.
Just then, a message buzzes in from a heavy miner.

Miner: "This is Heavy Miner MH2; there has been a slight blaster malfunction and I am in need of assistance. An acid canister needs to be replaced on my left blaster due to the breaking of the previous one. The canister can still be repaired and refilled with acid."
Foreman: "Thank you MH2, we will send someone to replace that canister and get you on your way again."
The operation would take yet another hit on its efficiency due to these recent unfortunate events.

Sure enough, helped arrived as fast as it could.

The canister was replaced with relative ease.

MH2 started up the blasters again and resumed washing away at the rock while the staff support member picked up the empty and partially broken canister.

Nearby the Saw-Man resumed harvesting the rubies revealed by the heavy miners.

And then puts the rubies into the delivery crate.

Throughout the day, the crate was actually filled! Mission accomplished! The Mining Foreman was ecstatic.

Foreman: "Foreman to transport, we need a crate pickup at my location".
Transport: "On our way sir."
So it turns out that the crew on Baunmaald was successful in their operation meeting minimum demand that day.

If you make a creation with a mining operation, (please keep it space mining) I'll be more than happy to let you join. Remember to put your own twist onto it because it makes it a lot more fun that way. |
