About this creation

This is Toa Niuni, Toa of Matter. Just before he was exiled from his universe, Mata Nui, trapped inside the mask of life, used the mask's powers to animate a toa more powerful than any toa seen before. He gave the toa the power to control the matter from which everything in his universe was made of, in the hope that the new toa would be able to destroy the threat of Makuta Teridax's new power.

A stone tablet was found 10,000 years or so from the creation of Toa Niuni, stating his appearance. The translation goes as so:

Toa Niuni stood before me, staring at me with his green, beady eyes. He looked like no toa I had seen before. He had no mask, or at least no solid one. A blue fog clouded his face where his mask should have been and I had started to believe his mask was made of gas. Pehaps he materialised it that way. More of this blue fog hung around his silvery armour, replacing solid arms and legs with an altogether different material. A pipe hung from the back of his head, leading to a small container on his back. He carried blades that were clear as the liquidy protodermis sea. All of a sudden, he exploded in a cloud of the blue gas. He was gone.

The front. Probably the most ingenious body design I have come up with yet.

Powers:
Toa Niuni, being the Toa of Matter, pretty much has control over matter. He can dematerialise and materialise again in a different place, can take matter from objects such as rocks, plants, even other beings and create weapons or other objects: swords, shields, other beings to fight for him. He can also:

Take matter from other beings to make himself stronger

Modify his matter, changing his appearance

Toa Niuni may be extremely powerful, but he has a major flaw. In order to control his matter powers, a container on his back with a pipe that leads to his mind is used to stabilize the powers. If he tries to control to much matter, or if the container on his back is damaged (which is highly unlikely, considering it is made from the most dense substance in Mata Nui's universe), the container will no longer be able to stabilize his powers. His body will change into anti-matter, and he will cease to exist.

His blades, materialised from light matter, may be one of the greatest blades in Mata Nui's universe. They are made of light matter, and therefore do not rust and do not get blunt.
