About this creation
The main section of the tower is a 13-sided polygon (triskaidecagon or tridecagon)
The mathematics of the main section was interesting: I needed to find the smallest polygon that satisfied the following conditions:
1. The sides of the outer polygon were length 4 studs.
2. The sides of the inner polygon were length 3 studs.
3. The two polygons were concentric.
4. The two polygons were 2 studs apart (the difference in their apothem’s was 2).
A lot of math was also used to establish the dimension of the base of the tower (a nonagon: 9-sides) as well as the top of the tower.
Overall, once I did the math, the construction was fairly easy. Easy to reproduce. Cheap to build (compared to my other MOC’s)

Hi, there. This is beautiful and a true work of art. I have a problem...I am not mathematically inclined but would like to try your model with my son who is brilliant and he is mathematically inclined. Do you have (for gift or for sale) the instructions, and where to order the parts (it could be bricklink or lego.com...). I know that a master like you doesn't need to help a novice, but if it weren't for my boy, I wouldn't be asking. Please help. Share your gift with the world. I appreciate your time. Email me at cinmcmin@msn.com Thanks!! Cin
email me at arthur@gugick.com please for assistance! |

First off, I must say i went through all your lego masterpieces and I am in AWE, they are AMAZING, perfectly done. I admire your work.
The reason why I bumped into your gallery is because i'm working on a school project (i'm a graphic design student) and i need a leaning tower of pisa made of legos.... obviously i knew from the start i would never have the talent or patience to recreate such architectural icon in legos, plus... i don't own any legos.... hence, the internet.
I was wondering if you would allow me to use one of your lego leaning tower of pisa photos for my project. As i said, it's 100% academic, no profit whatsoever, well.. other than my grade. :)
If you are interested please reply at valerie_melito@hotmail.com

This is amazing!! I wish I had 1/2 of your creative ability. I love building LEGO sculptures, unfortunately I do not have the architectural skills to create something like this on my own. Is there any chance you are willing to sell instructions for this model? |

Isn't it supposed to lean. Other than that great job, real close to the actual thing. |
