My MOC for the Onyx Sentinel. I never liked the fan art on this machine so I chose to make this one specifically opposite of all the fan art. Monitors ar roundish but not a perfect sphere, and sentinels are angular and have points or fins all over. The fan art all have perfect spheres and simple cylinders for the booms. I though something like the Star Wars Tri-Fighter would be better and more Forerunner looking. I know that the book says the booms float but I don't have those psychic powers yet. I connected them and despite the book, I like it this way. The Sentinel arms don't float around, they are connected, so I changed it a bit, seriously, sue me. If you want the booms to float, just pretend they do or photoshop the image.
About this creation
I designed the onyx Sentinel as a fighter version of a sentinel. The sentinels are infantry, Enforcers and Super Sentinels are like armored vehicles, so the one sentinel with very powerful weapons and the ability to break orbit in the books naturally became a fighter. I mean the description just screamed fighter. Agile, adaptable, extremely powerful weapons, excellent defenses especially against fast moving objects (like getting shot at in flight).

Quoting spartan 245 good hatchling but in the book it is disribed as the version like the ones on halo but with a port to connect a nother one to make one super sentinal also if u make enough connect them all the gether and u hav a fornunner assault frigate
I am going by Halo.wikia.com description as quoted here: The Onyx Sentinel could possibly share a similar appearance to the Monitors - with a round sphere in the center, and with a central "eye" that glows golden. The eye is the weaponry and offensive capability of the sentinel as it charges and unleashes what appears to be a devastating array of energy. However, it also has three metal booms extending from equidistant points on the surface of the central sphere. The Onyx Sentinel also has anti-gravity technology, similar to that of the Monitors. Although the Onyx Sentinel can even reach escape velocity and fly into outer space, in ground operations, it normally engages its targets at a height of three meters, working a "Higher Ground" battle mentality. It is also able to attenuate its booms to the signal of UNSC COM channels, and can actually speak the Human archaic language and root language of Latin. please visit halo.wikia.com/wiki/Onyx_Sentinel for any information on it. Should halopedia change it, I will as well but I trued very closely to follow their description less the floating arms part.
