A work in progress. Inspired by the B-25J Mitchell flown by the Air Apaches of the 345th Bomb Group in WWII. This particular moc was started in August of 2008 and is still in progress of being built and refined.
Septembe 2009 - finished v 1.0 now, not totally happy with it just some minor details I would like to rebuild at some point. If I can ever get ahold of the bubble canopy from the new Star Wars Clone Wars Y-Wing I would like to replace the trans-black one I have mounted now. Also need to reconfigure the interior to create a deeper bomb bay and to add a forward access hatch on the belly (rear of the forward wheel well) for entrance to the flight controls for the pilots. The actual B-25J had 8 .50 caliber machine guns mounted in the nose of the plane, I can only figure out for now how to mount 6 of them, again another minor annoying detail I would like to fix at some point.
Amazing MOC MOC of a B-25! This creation is fantascic, I love all the deatail. A tip for adding the front machine guns, they attached on the sides of the nose up by the cockpit. The tip of the nose had a machine gun turet on it. But that isn't that big a deal, it's quite a feat just to build a MOC of this size. I plane to build a B-25 too, but it will be a few years, my new P-38 just sucked up most of my parts.
