1965 Ford Econoline Pickup V8 Final Version
The final version. Credit goes out to Nate Andrews since the engine design is his with modifications.
About this creation
The V8 is like on the real car placed between and slightly behind the front seats making it a mid-engine sports car…well, sort of.

1. Update: Modified engine that is mounted further back plus other changes as well.
After searching the Internet for some good Econoline-sites I struck gold finding a site that explains into detail how V8s will fit in the truck. In other words my concept here is totally realistic and I can now tell you that the engine in my truck is a 302 (4.9 L) Ford Windsor V8 with a 4 Barrel 650 CFM Edelbrock AVS Carburetor a 14 Inch Air Cleaner with PCV ventilation system and 300 hp and 300 lb•ft (407 N•m) @ 2600 rpm.

Update 14.06.09: Slightly modified engine. Overall design has been modified to look much more like the real car. I spend a lot of time getting it right and I’m quite happy with the result especially the new truck bed turned out very good.

Please rate or comment..thanks!

Update 30.06.09: Modified engine and new photos.

Update 31.07.09: New chassis, modified body/engine, increased rideheight and finally a brand new interior

The worlds smallest update(exhaust):

And a goodbye photo of my two current cars:

OOOPS! Sorry I haven't reviewed this yet. I think I was out of town when you posted it. Anyway, I saw one of these trucks today, and I'd just like to say that you got it spot-on. You matched the shape very nicely, and I'm glad I could help with the engine/chassis design. Thanks for the credit, and keep up the good work!

Quoting Firas Abu-Jaber This thing has a nice shape and building techniques, although I like the smooth look for LEGO vehicles; but I still like to look at some classic pieces like this... keep on the good work >>> peace.. Firas
