My Lego Millennium Falcon

About this creation

The Millenium Falcon is one of my favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy spaceships. This model was my first and only attempt with Lego (so far). I made the model entirely from memory so I cannot say that it is an accurate rendering. I had to build it smaller than Lego minifig scale because I lacked the bricks at the time to build bigger. However, the cockpit section was much easier to design at the smaller scale (although I did cheat with the use of a Sharpie marker and some clear tape). Unfortunately, I scanned the original photos without fully understanding image editing. Thus, the pictures shown here are small and grainy.

To Jed Forster: Thanks for your praise! I've tried several times to respond but your email address is invalid. I posted a response in my "review" below (even though the note says it isn't me--it IS me). I don't have instructions for this model. The "red" bricks are actually brown. TLC's A-Wing model next to my Falcon, showing the sub-minifig scale of my model. Since I couldn't fit minifigs inside, I went ahead and made the Falcon solid.

The side view offers a better look at the "side thingies" on the Falcon. I really don't know what the round things are on the side of the "real" Falcon but I liked the way these worked out on my version.

A good view of the underside with the landing struts removed (not retracted). Creating the model from memory was fun, even though certain details were wrong (as I later discovered).

The things on the side are docking rings. These enable the ship to dock in space to certain vessels or in space bases. I like the falcon very much. I made 1 version and I am working on a second much less colorful than my current one. please review mine. The outside is very well done giving the falcon it the look of,"What a piece of junk." as Luke called it. Not meaning yours is junk but that it looks real to the movie. It would be cool to have interior shots but its ok if you don't want to. keap building cool star wars vessels.

this is very acurate accept that you need to make it a bit more convex by adding a few plates on the top over all GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
