Taj Mahal. Agra, India. This is the 4th time I've built the Taj Mahal; each time at a different scale. This one is by far the smallest with the central structure measuring only 16 studs across.
I used decorated tiles to add detail to the areas beneath the arches.
The dome is a bit small, but if I expand it just one stud it looks too large.
I'm not completely satisfied with the way the reflection came out. Hopefully I'll fix it before Brickworld 09
Divine! And the reflection in the water is so gratuitously delicious. I'd also like to use this opportunity to make a blanket statement of admiration for all your work. I don't want to seem lazy, but looking ahead at all the icons in your folders, I'm afraid of crippling my fingers.
Really pretty! My church has asked me to build a LEGO model of the steeple as part of a fundraiser. I've never built anything this tall (maybe 3 feet). Any words of wisdom for me so it doesn't tip over?? Thanks a lot...
I like it

Another spectacular work Arthur. It seems I never tire of seeing the Taj Mahal in various scales and you always impress. I am looking forward to seeing this in a couple of weeks.
Beautiful work, Arthur! It's fun to see the various ways you've tackled features as the scale has changed. Some great parts usage to achieve the needed effects here (love the main doors!). Looking forward to seeing you at Brickworld!
Like Ocean I'm wondering what the pieces on the sides of the door are, but I admire the detail and creativity put into the creation. The control pannels and mini X-wing logos are great as giant designs, and the reflection is terrific.
Wow! This is amazing the amount of detail you've got in such a small area. I'm scratching a hole in my head wondering what ARE those pieces on either side of the main doorway...Brilliant stuff Tor.
BTW I should be posting a Taj movie page tonight.
