Today is exactly 65 years from D-Day, so I wanted to post something special for it. I will probably edit it in a while. But enjoy!~Aidan
About this creation
A Canadian soldier (left) and an American soldier (right).
In Flanders Fields
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and we were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch, be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.
I know the poem is from WW1, but I thought it would go well with this MOC.

Good job! The longest and most fateful day the world has ever known. The armies that landed went on to liberate millions of enslaved innocents. This is kind of like my Memorial Day Tribute!
