About this creation

The Sentinel Class Shuttle was developed for the transport of stormtrooper detachments. The Empire employs a landing vessel based on the tri-foil design of the Lambda-class shuttle. Like its more elegant cousin, the Sentinel Class has three wings, a central wing along its dorsal spine, and two side-mounted wings that folded up when landing. The craft is well armed with four laser cannons, two missile launchers and an ion cannon.

Here we can see the Sentinel Class shuttle delivering Zeta scout unit and Alvien and Drax squads commanded by Captain Terrik. Their mission is to search and destroy an escape pod that landed in the deserts of Tatooine.

As the craft comes in head on we can see the banks of laser cannons on either side of the main fuselage.

In flight the rear wings are lowered into this position.

The Landing cycle.

As the craft comes in the rear wings raise.

Until they are up right.

On both sides of the fuselage there is a landing assault ramp. These allow the troops to exit the craft quickly and clear the vulnerable LZ.

The Sentinel Class is capable of carrying six squads and their equipment. It can also be quickly converted to a combat cargo shuttle. Here the troops are been assigned their orders and ground transport for the search.
