X-AF-10001A - Hornet

This is a pair of fighters used in many areas, including escort, assault and ship to ship combat. The X-AF-10001A - Hornet is the first model, followed by the X-AF-10001B - Wasp.
About this creation
The X-AF-10001A - Hornet was first created as a means of defense and attack, to counter threats of attack from neighboring star factions. The Hornet was later customized by lead design engineer Xolov to give way to the X-AF-10001B - Wasp. The Wasp is a slightly faster model, as there are two larger X3000 G-force engines coupled with yet another larger F2000-F-force engine, over the previous model. The wasp also features heavier standard weaponry.

That is not to say that the Hornet is not a lethal adversary, it still packs a punch with its allotment of light and heavy laser cannons and three standard AR-X000 G-force engines. The Hornet still makes up the bulk of the attack squadrons in which they serve.






Below is a view of the cockpit for the Hornet; fairly standard controls and computing systems. Room for one.


Below are a front and rear view of the craft. The landing gear retract in the same manner than the Jedi star fighter's does.






The Wasp is a sleeker model, as the starboard wing is modified to house the "stingers" that give it its name.





From a rear view the difference in engines can be easily seen.
