Here's a Siege I made a couple of days ago. It took me about 1 day on and off, mostly planning out the design for the Sapper's Tunnel! I decided to build this MOC because lots of other people are building battles for some contest or another, and I wanted to try my hand at a bigger MOC.
Here's the Sapper's tunnel. Sappers dug tunnels under the enemy wall and then set off explosives to blow a hole in the wall. Looks like the trolls have already created a breech in the wall this time!
Here's the trolls charging towards the breech. The commander Troll stands on the big rock in front of the wall. I got the idea for the rock from the LOTR movies. Remember at the battle of Helm's Deep, when the Uruk-Hai commanders were standing on those huge rocks? That's kinda what I was going for with this.
I really liked how the archers looked on top of the wall. The way they're posed to look like they are pulling back the string on the bow I thought was cool.
Here's some soldiers defending the breech.
Another pic of the wall.
Here's the scaffolding on the inside of the wall where men can climb on top of the wall via ladder.
Here's some men rushing to fill the breech.
Thanks for visiting guys! Hope you liked it. Please remember to leave a comment!
Awesome! You got the tunnel look right, but I believe they set up wooden posts to keep it up, then got out and burned the posts so the tunnel would fall making the wall collapse. Just a bit of info I happen to know. Good job none-the-less!
My friend Trevor went ahead my birthday present since he is leaving to see his dad today. I got a baseplate and the Sepratist Spider Droid! I REALLY needed that baseplate! I just need to get my mom to takes some pictures of my Mustafar Moc and then I can make my surprise Moc!
Nice job! I love the sapper's tunnel, but in ye olden days, they didn't have explosives. The sappers would put large beams in the tunnel, to hold up the ceiling, and pile barrels of pig's fat around. Then they would light it on fire, which would burn the beams, collapsing the earthen roof above and the defensive wall with it... wow, what a ramble! Anyhoo, you've got yourself a nice little diorama here, I like the burning rock!
