My "Stolen" Go-kart
Just read the comic at the bottom... That'll explain.
About this creation
After racing a go-kart for the first time at Laguna Seca Raceway, I was inspired to replicate it in LEGO®'s. This is one of my best MOCs, being proportional to figs, extremely detailed, and filled with interesting techniques. It is based more off of a fun-fair kart than a professional kart, having a bumper running around the perimeter. To see how to "steal" a go-kart, scroll to the bottom of the page. Please review, and thanks for looking!

The go-kart with a fig.

Front view.

Side view. Try to look for some of detail, like the engine, the side bumpers, and the number 2.

Back view. This shot makes it look most like a fun-fair kart: being a flat, wide surface of gnarly engine details, with a little person sticking out of it.

Top view.

Engine detail. Notice the exhaust pipe and the gas nozzle.

One of the most distinguishable features of a go-kart: the air intake.

Low-down angle.

Now...
Here is the short comic I made illustrating my go-karting experience at Laguna Seca. If you can't see the text too well, go ahead and click on the comic to blow it up.

... And yes, that's Chris, Kelso, and Deathdog...

As you'll see...
I forgot to pay! With the booth operator cramming endless information and safety gear into my face, and the mere pleasure of driving the fine machine, it was too much — just too much for me to have any room for remembering about paying! But don't get me wrong; I had all intentions of paying. I'm not some carnival booth robber. I hope you enjoyed both the MOC and the comic!

Your kart is really nice and I especially like the detail of the engine. I made a Go-Kart but it is much more basic than yours, take a look if you like. How many bricks did you use cause I used 17 to mass produce it.

Quoting cameron "lone wolf" dias be the way, nice collection of cars, i attempted to make a nice mini-fig scale car, but failed every time, how do you do it?
Well, I have a "secret recipe" for making the main body that I apply to all my 4-wides. Then, I tweak the hood, lights, rims, and other such details to make it look like a specific car. Here's a hint: I use the same chassis for every 4-wide. I'm thinking about posting a "4-wide minifig cars guide," to share my method.

Very nice work, on both the MOC and the comic, as the guys already mentioned; too detailed for the scale, which is good.. fantastic, my only little point that the seat seems a bit high, need to be one plate lower, but this's nothing in front of this great work... keep building >>> peace.. Firas

Quoting cameron "lone wolf" dias wait a minute, are you saying that you can race a go-cart on one of the world's well known raceways?
No, no. It was a little track set up in the parking lot in the middle of the raceway. That would be great, though ;)
