About this creation
The Poseidon-class destroyer is one of the latest additions to the EA fleet. Halfway between a battleship and a carrier, the destroyer is one of the most versatile ships in service nowadays.



The two heavy anti-matter flux beam emitters on the bow have proved to be extremely effective against capital ships, though slow reloading time and high energy requests are still major flaws. But a Poseidon carries a whole plethora of other weapons, should the forward cannons fail: a medium anti-matter flux beam emitters on each side, six heavy gauss cannons, six pulse torpedo launchers, 22 gauss cannons and 36 attack fighters.



Ships like the EAD Cyrene or the EAD Argo of the 8th fleet have shown their effectiveness in skirmishes against Altairan battlegroups in the Iota colonization zone, proving that those destroyers can efficiently replace the aging Commonwealth-era battleships.



Vaguely inspired to the Terran Hecate-class destroyers of Freespace 2.

Your capital ship style is moving more towards your fighter-building style, which is a good thing. I like the nose guns on this model.
