The Mausoleum of Mausollos at Halicarnassus
This is my unfinished lego creation of the Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus. The Mausoleum was built between 353 BC and 350 BC at Halicarnassus (now Bodrum, Turkey). It was built by Mausollos' wife Artemisia when he died. This is not the actual version because no one knows what it actaully looks like. But still this isn't what it is speculated to look like. This is just a fancy of my imagination in terms of looks. I was inspired by going to Brickworld, the most MASSIVE display of legos I have ever seen. I was also inspired by reading Walking with Herodotus, a book about Herodotus who was born in Halicarnassus where the Mausoleum was located. I still have to decorate the Mausoleum because, as you can see, it looks very plain. This is my first lego creation on this website (YAY!)! I made this on LDD.
