About this creation
Hehehe, guess where my hand is...

Here we go. My coverage of the final day of BrickWorld 2009! I tried to jump around the three different ballrooms they had for us to try and get as many pics of the mocs that I could for this post. I should have taken the time to get all the names of the builders as well, but let's face it. I'm way too lazy for that. I'd been focusing on the people for the previous posts and thought it was time for the builds to get the credit they deserve. That comes later in the post so let's start off in the main room for a moment shall we?

I had seen this layout but was never able to make contact with Brian Darrow. I was finally able to track him down on Sunday. Better late than never. Just like my wife says every 28 days...

Dave and John Xandager and their Brixwerx set up. There was a great article in the Lake County Journal about them. Check it out if you get the chance.

This little lady walks up to Mark and I in the morning and is looking at the Ferret. She's talking to Mark and congratulates him. He thanked her with a confused look on his face not knowing what he was being congratulated about. I glanced over and saw something sitting on our table that hadn't been there before. "Why didn't you tell me Mark?" I asked. "Tell you what?" he replied... A few more seconds and he clues in that the Rusty Ferret won Best Space Craft!

Congratulations Mark... as if your ego wasn't big enough all ready.

And Mr. Kelso wasn't the only one to win an award from our little posse. Brian Kescenovitz won for best vig with this little number. Congrats Brian!

LegoLand Stadium. They say this is a work in progress. Man, I can't wait to see it when it's done! With attention to detail like revolving doors and individual seats! Amazing stuff.

Moving on over to one of the smaller rooms. One of the first mocs you see when you walk in is this nice castle set up.

Hey look! A castle I actually have the parts to build! This concept was something I was actually toying around with for a while and so this just caught my eye.

Ahh, Mrs. Pac-Man. Pac-Man sure is a lucky yellow blob to find a woman who can swallow all those little ba... never mind.

This awesome dragon was nominated for best creation... didn't win and of course I never found out which moc did. Oh well, if anyone knows which moc did win, let me know.

Finally, someone did a Stonehenge that was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf! (that joke's just for you Gio)

Bonus points for anyone under 18 who can guess what this is.

Ahhh, the great Adam Tucker's building collection. Still cool no matter how many times you see it.

Look kids, Big Ben... Parliament.

Moving on to the second of the two smaller rooms, we'll start with this nice castle and village set up. Just ignore that take out container on that tower in the back. I said IGNORE IT!

Then move on to the castle that SigOcean Figgy still has nightmares about. (see last year's coverage if you didn't get that joke)

I could see this army trying to take on Lee's... but that would kinda be like bringing a broadsword to a plasma rifle fight now wouldn't it?

Arthur Gugick took time out of his busy schedule to mingle with the rabble. Why he chose to do that with me is anyone's guess.

Man I just love seige engines made out of LEGO... LAUNCH!

Moving back into the main room, here's Stacy and Heather chatting with the one and only Brian Bonahoom (for those that don't know, he's the coordinator of this event). I'm sure whatever they were talking about was good and wholesome. I mean, come on, what else would Heather and Stacy be involved in if it wasn't good and decent? Oh, and that guy in the back left of the pic is the master of lighting, Alex Eylar! If you're ever in need of a lightbuld, this guy has you covered... just don't ask where he got it.

Adam Stasiek in front of the North West Illinois Train Club set up. Not to be confused with that other train club that Lee Jones and I are going to join up with... (again, that one's for the 5 of you that get it. But I'm sure the rest of you can figure it out)

Matija and Sean kenney at our booth... I'm not too sure what Sean is signing there, but I'm sure you guys will be able to figure it out in a few weeks.

About 1:00 and a group of us went across the street to the RAM for lunch. Jones prefers RAM to be a verb instead of a name, but that's a whole other story.

All too soon it was time to tear down and go home. I told Mark that since he was the one who put this moc back together after someone knocked it over Saturday morning (they came in and found it on the ground), that he could have the honors of knocking it over. You think I'm kidding? See that bucket on the ground...

When they say it's time to tear down, I take them literally. HEY, I need the parts! I have a MOCies show to do ya know! (P.S. Gimme about 2 weeks to get that done. Voting ends at midnight tonight)

Fourth Wall Commentary: Well boys and girls, that's it from BrickWorld 2009! I have to say that was one of the coolest things I've done in a long time. I mean, there was that witch's ti... never mind. Like Dennis said in his day three coverage, there's no way that any one person can cover the entire event. The people, the mocs, everything was just amazing! Seeing all of you again that I had met before was like coming home. And then meeting all of you who I hadn't met before just made everything that much better! I can't wait to see you all again next year! Like Kelso said, we should all really do this more than once a year... every other weekend should be good.

Quoting Nick Pascale Chris, Earlier in the day around 4ish NYC time I got an invitation to join a group. I went to the group and joined it. I went to supper then came back and got this: group moderator has removed you from xxx April 2011. This was likely done because you have violated the group's rules. If you continue to be a problem, a moderator can have you permanently banned. I am very confused I am a very positive person read all my comments made to everyone - even you. Please help! I sent this to Sean & to the contact desk! Thanks I am writing you because you are a moderator!
Can you get me a link to the group and I'll see if I can figure out what happened? And just so you know, when you're removed from a group that email gets sent automatically. Please find me the link to the group and I'll see what I can dig up.
