Confederate Ship Narusegawa, atmospheric warship.
About this creation
The Narusegawa is named after the heroine in Ken Akamatsu's Love Hina.

She is 160 studs long, about ten more than my older ship, the Springfield.

She is my second attempt at a large scale ship, and despite almost two months of work, she still falls short of my expectations - that is, I'm not happy with the model. Lately I have been attempting to build more realistic spacecraft, and since the Narusegawa really didn't fall into that category (Her central corridor is exposed, and she only has a single hemisphere of "combat space"), she was demoted to being an atmospheric ship.

Her landing gear is fully functional; however, I have found no adequate location to place the pnuematic pumps; thus, they are just hanging on the ship's frame. In addition, the ship is heavy enough so that the tubing will often pop if any extra eight is applied to the ship.

General construction is reasonably simple aside from the gear, and most of the ship is built with basic bricks. She is also completely modular, the ship breaking after the main gun, before and after the central corridor, and after the section with the bridge.

For the pictures now...

The bridge. The gun deck is right below that. Full crew compliment is four.

I think the biggest issue is that it's too blocky. The crew cabin and most of the rest of the ship are just large squares that are fairly uninspired. The unsealed corridor gives an unfinished look, like this is still a work-in-progress. And I'm not so sure about the main gun being separated from the rest of the ship, it looks entirely tacked on. Not a good look. A good start, but needs some work.
