2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder
Hooray! It's been a long time since I've posted a larger-scaled vehicle, so here you go! A 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder in bright red! This is a little bit smaller than my normal scale because I wanted to experiment with the new medium-size wheels. The convertible roof doesn't really work, but there's still plenty of detail in here to keep your interest. Please comment!
About this creation
Front view. I spent a long time figuring out the headlights. The front is definitely the best part about this car!

Back view. Notice the license plate too!

Side view. I had to order some more pieces from LEGO to make the side intake. It's a little chunky looking, but overall it turned out nice.

All doors open. The front is too complicated to add an opening trunk.

White interior with dials and radio included.

Lamborghini V10 engine.

Because the car is small, it can't have a working foldable roof. So I made a clip-on canvas roof.

The doors and hood still open nicely with the roof in place.

You may have noticed my new photo booth! This is how it's done! Two white posterboards, natural sunlight (from window), and a large piece of Plexiglas (for slight reflections)! Go ahead, try it yourself!

Fantastic model, you've added a good amount of details for such a small scale car, which is great, my favorite part is the back end, and it's good to see you used th same technique for the headlights that I used on my Ford GT, it gives a thin edge to the headlights from the side... but the only thing that I would suggest is to make the wheel base one stud shorter; I made my Gallardo LP's wheel base a bit shorter than my Gallardo SE and it looks better IMO... any way you built here nothing but a fantastic little model, keep it that way my friend >>> peace.. its a nice car no doubt, like the headlights great idea and the back, but not so much the roof, seats and to a lesser extent the side intakes..

Oh yeah definitely sweet, I love the engine. it's almost perfect . . . . except, for me, I think the side intakes ARE a bit too chunky and it just looks ugly with the soft top on . . . . but you really nailed the front (SKREEEEE*crash* literally!) so I hafta give you points for that. the interior is pretty cool as well, which led me to the thought is this for the Fire & Ice challenge on LUGnuts? anyways, yes or no, great work, keep it up Dylan :D

Sweet Lambo, Dylan! My favorite part of this one is the back. I mean EVERYTHING about the back! The exhaust, the tail lights.. Hey, the engine is in the back, too! Just an awesome medium-scale car, with a lot of accurate details.

Dylan, this is a really great model! Good photo's too but here's a little tip: instead of two pieces of cardboard you use one bigger one. You just put it on the floor under the plexiglas and raise it in the back, up to the wall. That way you loose the edge between the two papers. Anyway, good car, and good luck with the next one!
