A rather unfortunate snowman. Winner of Best Small Sculpture at BrickFest 2006.
About this creation
I built this snowman as a centerpiece for a Christmas party. I didn't have enough pieces in white to build the back of his head, so my mom suggested he be built as if he were melting.
The snowman's head is a blatant copy of Eric Harshbarger's snowman design. Actually, there is a slight difference in the face, but it's hardly noticeable.
This came as a complete surprise!
I recently got a 16x16 white baseplate to replace the green one; I never liked that it had a visible green strip along the edges.
Oh what a world! Wait... Congrats on the award and great MOC here. Along with the others, the green stripe doesn't bother me either. It looks like the grass under snow. G'job.
Nice! Living in Canada I've built my fair share of snowmen, and all have unfortunately succumed to this fate. Such a sad time for snowmen everywhere.....
well, you could have build it without a baseplate, but I don't mind the green, I think it looks great! And that it is still melting, after three years....hehe, who would have thought :P
