Egine Co. 303 operates this 2009 Pierce Arrow XT. Opterating out of station 5 with Truck Co. 404 this Engine is home to the KPFD Tunnel Rats. This engine is the first due to any emergency in the Highland Tunnels of Keadalpoint.
Unlike alot of other Engine Companies in the KPFD this engine does not carry ground ladders because of the extra space needed to carry specialized tools. In addition to all the hoses carried by the truck. this truck also carries small Hurst Extracation tools, a 4 cylinder cascade system, Ropes, a six foot back board, and ALS medical equipment.
Engine 303 has a 1000 GPM pump and a 700 gallon booster tank, This is to allow the engine to pump water deep into the tunnel system of Keadalpoint. Also Station 5 is the only station in the KPFD to run rigs that have a three digit number. Also the number always follows the format X0X this leads to the numbers like 303, 404, 101 and so on. This numbering system shows that the trucks with these numbers are units that carry specialized equipment. Credit goes to Steven Asbury for the design of the back
