Well, here it is! The first part of my new Comic! Hope ya like it!
"Oh boy! Today I'm 16 years old! Now I can join the Crown Army!"
"Matt! Come downstairs for breakfast!"
Today, Matt turns 16. This is the age that boys are allowed to join the Crown Army and go off to training camp. Matt has always wanted to be a soldier, ever since his father left to fight the skeletons and never returned...
Mom: "Be sure to eat a bunch! You need your strength!"
Matt: "Sure, mom."
Mom: "I can't believe you're already 16 years old... it seems like just yesterday that you were still a baby... I'm going to miss you, Matt. I just hope you have better luck in the army than your father..."
Matt: "I'll be fine, mom. Don't worry about me. Well, I guess that's it, bye mom!"
Mom: "Wait! I have something for you before you go!"
Mom: "I got you an adventurer's bag! Its to keep all your stuff in!"
Matt: "Thanks, mom!"
Mom: "Oh! And here's a coin worth 5 gold pieces! Use it to buy some parchment so you can write home!"
Matt: "Ok, I'll pick it up on the way to the recruiting booth."
Matt and his mother live in a small house in the center of town. Luckily for Matt, there are plenty of merchants and shops from which he can buy parchment...
Matt walks through town, today is a busy day in the market...
Matt: "Hm... I've never seen this place before. Maybe they sell parchment..."
Matt walks inside... it looks like this shop belongs to an alchemist...
Shopkeeper: "What are you doing in here, boy!?!"
Matt: "Sorry, sir! I didn't mean to do anything! I swear!"
The shopkeeper thinks to himself: "Hm... I feel a presence I haven't felt in a long time with this boy... There's only one way to be sure..."
Shopkeeper: "Boy, what's your name?"
Matt: "My name is Matt Fysher, sir. I was just looking for some parchment."
Shopkeeper: "Parchment? I believe I have some... would you also be interested in having your fortune told?"
Matt: "That sounds fun, but all I have enough for is the parchment."
Shopkeeper: "Well boy, er..um, Matthew, it looks like that coin in your hand is worth 10 gold pieces. Thats enough for the parchment and the fortune-telling."
Matt: "Whoa! It is! Last time I checked it was only worth 5! Ok, I'll take the fortune-telling too then!"
Shopkeeper: "Well then come into the back room here, thats where I keep my materials..."
Matt and the mysterious shopkeeper head to the back of the store...
The shopkeeper checks the crystal ball...
The shopkeeper thinks to himself: "Could it be!?! The one from the prophecy! I better keep a close eye on this boy..."
Matt: "Well? What does it say?"
Shopkeeper: "Oh! Yes! You'll aquire great wealth! Well, good doing business with you, Matthew!"
The shopkeeper then rushes Matt out of the store...
Matt: "Well, that was kinda weird! Oh well! Off to the recruiting booth!"
