1/8 scale 427 Shelby cobra W.I.P
About this creation

Here is the chassis for my 1/8 scale 427 Shelby cobra. This is the most detailed chassis I have ever built. the engine has an intake manifold, carburetor, air filter, distributor, alternator, cam/ crank pulley, full exhaust and cylinder heads. other details include a fuel cell behind the differential, that has a fuel line leading to a fuel pump and then to the carburetor on the engine. The chassis also has the radiator mounted in the same place as the real one, and has the cooling hose going to the motor. I also built the rest of the chassis as close to the real thing as possible

Are you willing to post any plans you have for the engine and ancillary components you designed for this build?

Ah k. It's a good combination of the 8880 tyres and one of the ferrari racer rims. I prolly will be getting the 8880 set anyway, cuz its awesome, and for the rims i'll just order it off bricklink. Thanks again!

Quoting Nathan Nguyen I luv cobras, they're one of my fav classics. The v8 looks really detailed with the exhaust, air filter, radiator and the white pulley belt. Also the chassis has accurate dimensions of the actual wheel spacing of the car. Superb work Tyler! PS: could u plz tell me wat lego set those rims and tyres are from?
the rims are from the ferrari 599 or enzo set, and the tires are from the 8880 super car from 1994. I orderd the wheels and tires from bricklink. That wheel/tire combination was never in an official set, but they do fit togather. The wheels shouldn't cost too much, but the tires might be a bit pricey since they have been out of production so long. They tires will have to be orderded from brikclink. you might be able to get the wheels from the lego company.

Quoting Firas Abu-Jaber Looks like a great start! but isn't the wheel base should be a bit longer? I'm not sure though, so lets wait and see, good luck.
nope, the wheel base on the real thing is only 90 inches. so the wheel base on mine is exactly 11.25 inches
