Omaha Beach, D-Day Tribute [Version 3.0]
Ok Guys! After the popularity of version 2.0, (which is now the most popular historic military/WWII MOC -yay!) I built an extension!
About this creation
My new version includes painted Brickarms, but the same figures - I still haven't got any 'proper' looking germans. I have built an opening extension and a bigger water area. It now includes an ammo dump, larger rooms ang a larger grass area on top. This includes an orange tree a vent and a frog!!! Sorry if the pictures aren't that amazing. Don't forget to comment - or rate!

You know, it's actually okay that you don't have mean, evil looking Germans (Is that what you meant by not proper looking?). Not all of the Nazis were that nasty. Awesome! Can you make Gold, Juno, and the others?

wow. the detail you put into these creations is stunning. If you don't mind my saying, I think you'd be great at Post-apoc or Apoc mocs. You might want to try it sometime... That would be a quality moc. Great Job!

sorry to be so late commenting--I was on vacation. Anyway, as usual, simply spectacular work! My only suggestion is that you improve the landing craft--right now it seems like a caricature almost--too small. Please comment on my SAS Jeeps!

Quoting The Dawg Great job. I wish I could make things like this. Just a queastion: Why is there only one dead guy in this scene? It seems like there should be more because the D-Day landings were pretty bloody.
I didn't put more dead guy's because it's Lego, and it's meant to be a lighthearted toy. I'm not sure many people would approve of dead body's scattered everywhere. oh yeah - and Thanks for the kind words!!

Very nice :) I've seen this before. My favorite part is the boat. Maybe If you could add another that would be cool, because weren't there a lot of boats? Anyways, you should make instructions for the boat! :) That'd be cool. Nice work, keep it up!

Quoting Weston Wedeward Ok the moc is great. Tremendous detail throughout, but I don't think the tree should be there. Or atleast make it look like a treeburst. You know what happens to a tree when a shell hits it. And you should add some craters up top. Cause they pounded the snot out of the Germans on D-Day with those big gun battleships.
Ok, Thanks for the tips, I'll take them into account in Version 4.0. About craters, the bombers missed Omaha Beach, thats why I didn't put any crater holes, and thats why it was the most dangerous, no-where to hide.

Quoting David . I dont know what to say. This is one of, if not the best MOC on mocpages. I love every little detail. It shows the D-Day landings in great detail. This is Perfect.

Quoting Kriss Olympis Very Good! I love how it opens at the back and the amo dump was a good idea, but the bazooka was an American weapon. You should ave put an MG nest on top and Im not sure oranges grow extremely well in Europe (although I may be wrong) Please get a close up on your frog cause i cant find it. All together awsome!
Thanks for the tips - p.s oranges are grown in europe. Thats probably where most of them come from - France and Spain.

I see you have also improved the boat..It looks excellent.. And my tip for Germans is: use the torso of Lord Sam Sinister from orient expedition .The whole minifig should cost you about 80 cents at brick link.
