Custom, Movie Accurate Episode II Clone Trooper
About this creation
There's not much to be said about this one. Anyone who has a SW AotC Visual Dictionary or watched Episode II carefully will agree with me that Lego's version of the Clone armor is 'a little' inacurate. So, I decided to improve the design a little - in fact, make a new one.
Getting the new Illustrator about two weeks ago was a perfect excuse to turn off my phone, put a nice CD to my stereo and finlly start working on this little project. You can see the result below... ;) Hope you like it...

Because Jeff's LA was closed, poor fellow didn't get any custom DC-15 Rifles.

The design in general turned out pretty accurate, I tried not to miss a single line, but in case you notice that I have, do let me know.

This is how it all started... The concept drawing I made while looking through the VD.

Reading books, clone troopers seem so formidable, yet when they turn into storm troopers, oh dear. Nice Clone Trooper. |

Well, Mr Erik, that first image looks that way because of a well-kept secret we like to call a "Photoshop filter." ;-) Anyways, awesome decals! Very, very detailed. My only fuss is that the "pectoral plates" if you can call them that are much too square; I think they should curve down more on the sides. Oh, and there are no arm decals. But you can't have everything. At least now he matches the new official Stormtroopers (even though I don't like them as much). Keep it up! |

The first picture looks like it's hand drawn when you really look at it close (the one with destroyed Battle Droid) How come? Nice decals! |
