With a little surprise =) Don't let main image fool you. There's stuff to see.
About this creation
So this is my updated Graalen. Lots of old him have stayed, including legs are old selves, only with one new added piston. Spikeback has one small change and you'll see what's that change for as you scroll down. Rest of the changes will be explained under each photo.
So let us start with side view. You can easily see already the tube things on the tail blades and mini limbs taken place of the hooks behind Fenrakk's head piece near the tail blades.
Here you see behind of the arms. My target was to make the shoulders and elbows stronger, but sadly I had no pistons left so by Harvey Cu's advice, I used the multi-limb way. Still, I had none of the newest matoran/agori limbs, so I ended up using the mini limbs. Also you can see the new pistons supporting knees.
And here's the shoulder design. As you can see, a hordika feet has found place behind the spike on top of the shoulder. On the hordika chest piece, the black feet piece has turned around, since it was partly stopping the shoulder to move properly. Also the shoulder spikes are now on a ball-jointed limb piece, you'll see why as you scroll down.
Here the only change is that his eyes are now green.
Now that his arms are stronger, I managed to get a better battle pose picture. Enjoy!
The tail splits off the body and tube things off the tail. Toa chest pieces and hordika feet on his chest open up as the head turns down. The shoulder spikes turn around and thumbs appear on hands and the tubes take place on wrists. From between the hunch's spikes, a head raises, turns around and comes down. Toa chests and hordika feet that were on Graalens chest now lock on the down bended Graalens head to hold it in place.
The tail acts independent and starts rolling and forms a... somekind of... crab... thing named Darik. Indeed this is my first bioformer experiment. Graalen is now more than Graalen he's...
The only changes of the transformation are seen on the upper torso (New chest, head, turned shoulder spikes)...
...and the hands. (Wrist cannons and thumbs)
Here's Bashur's companion, crab thingy, Darik. The only idea I got for the tail, since the tail didn't look good with Bashur's appearance.
Darik has 6 legs and this big.. shell.. thing with some black spikes. He's got also claws, surprisingly the tail blades did the job, due to the claw looking blade tip.
It is sweet!!!! I haven't seen the first one but this is awsome!!! How do you but all of thoes parts together????? Although I do have to agree with Harvey Cu with the main picture. It does look like he is crippled.
Absolutely brilliant. I especially like picture number 5 which I think should be the main picture because it just captures the whole menacing look and complexity of this moc. Your current main picture is ok but he seems to stand a little crippled.
I am most impressed with this mocs ability to transform to something different.
The green eyes are a great change because it compliments the teeth. It would have been even better if the green teeth are wide open like a Gadunka pose instead of closed with interlapping green teeth.
I see that you were able achieved to stregthen his heavy arms which is a great improvement. Im not sure from looking at the pictures that its arm can still go up since the additional connectors you used are the short one intead of the angled one(the one you used on his fingers).
With regards to uploading pictures, here are my tips.
1.Disregard pictures that are blurry and repetitive.
2. Choose the best picture as your main pic
3. In cases where its hard to distinguish parts because of color blend(gray and black always gives problem), I would suggest you try experimenting on the contrast and brightness using a photo editing software. You would be amaze at the difference. With a gray and black moc, its best to picture it on a white floor with a white background. No or little shadow is better.
