About this creation
Here is a big fat minifig vehicle, completed January 2006, my largest minifig car yet. I had lots of fun building this. It's now featured in the comic Engines, as a hefty military vehicle driven by the evil Northeastern Conglomerate, a military dictatorship which has sparked WWIV.

Enlarge image 		   The SUV started out as a much smaller Fire Hammer remake. I was forced to enlarge the design when I ran into trouble with the windshield and ran out of minifig seating.



Enlarge image 		   It turned out rather different than its inspiration.



Enlarge image 		   Excluding the cab and hood, the front and back structures are almost identical.



Enlarge image 		   I considered adding a hatch to the bed, as shown below.



Enlarge image 		   The hatch. I also considered adding a passenger cabin in place of the bed, but there just wasn't enough room.

Enlarge image 		   The Cockpit controls. The steering wheel and navigation panel fold forward during use, and retract when parked to facilitate exit.

Nifty little SUV. I like the color scheme. Try to mak it a little less like the FIre Hammer. Other that that, it's a very solid MOC!
