About this creation
I started making LEGO guns about one year ago. My first gunwas an Ak-47 but not this one. I only took one picture of that gun and I wish I still had it so I could show you. IT SUCKED. Anyways I wanted to make it again. I hope this one looks like an AK.
Working:
Trigger
Magazine release
Cocking handle
Underfolder stock
Can be disassembled

OK now I will show you guys how the underfolder stock works.
Here is the button you press.
The button with the stock arm taken off.
The button when it is not pressed. The 2 by 2 plates keep the stock from rotating.
When the button is pressed the 2 by 2 plates are moved out of the way and the stock can rotate on the round piece. There is a small spring that pushes the button out. The 2 by 3 brick keeps the button from falling out. If you have any questions about it, or something didn't make any sense just comment. I will do my best to help you out.

Your gun MOC's are some of the most realistic and refined ones that I've seen. Good job on this one in particular!
A suggestion I would make regarding your gun modeling in general: I think your curved magazines, such as the one on this AK-47, would be much less fragile if you tried constructing them of bricks and plates whose studs all face the same direction--that is, in one piece, not in multiple segments (which make for a very smooth curve, but don't hold together all that well). With this technique, special "brick paper" is usually needed to graph out the curve, but the method helps make a magazine much stronger. (My M16A2 magazine is an example of this method.) Anyway, keep up the good work! |

The Paratrooper stock doesn't retract it actually folds under. Thanks for the comment.
