VDS now brings the ALRV to the battlefield. The Advanced Light Reconnaissance Vehicle is a small, two-man vehicle that is generally deployed beforehand via amphibious landings, airdrops, or just drove out ahead of a convoy. The ALRV is key because it allows scouts to check and scan the battlefield, quickly and quietly. Also, the vehicle is small and compact enough to fit in a cargo plane or our very own MRNC. On occasion, ALRVs are armed with LMGs to take out a few targets ahead of time.
About this creation
ALRV scaled with scout.
Note: This is/was a simple experiment with greebling on a small and narrow frame/vehicle. This is/was both, a success and a failure.

Love the small package with dense packing of details. There is no way someone could be bored looking at this (or driving it around).

What type of gun is that? Is a Star Wars Blaster?
Where can I get one?
It is a SW blaster. In any case, you can purchase any of the Star Wars Battlepacks or any SW set in general. Granted I don't know what stores are like near your location, I'm just going to shoot in the dark and say any store that sells Lego should have them. I don't know if that was helpful, sorry. Oh, and thank you for the compliment in your previous comment. |

An interesting design. I am especially fond of the various pieces you used to put together the front end of the vehicle. Lee. |

You should call it the OCI Advanced LRV, since LRV=Light Reconnisance Vehichle. |

Nice, well done. The front is a bit overdone, but the cool design quickly takes the place of that. The only other thing that I don't like are the headlights. They seem to close together, and it would have been better if you separated them by 2 studs. Otherwise it's a great creation, with cool greebles and a unique design. Great job, and check out my page when you get the time. |

I really like it! I agree it looks a little 'over greebled', but I think that would be solved by changing the overall colours to something more uniform (e.g. mostly grey with just one or two bits of black)
Agreed. At the time I created this, I was rather low on accessible parts. But, I can't fix it now, seeing as though it has been destroyed. |

Looks cool and all but I think it is alittle bit over detailed, I don't it looks alittle funny, but I do like the shape of it allot!!!
Ditto. I was trying out greebling on small scale vehicles. I think I'll stick to simple and plain. >_> |

I love the side view and all of the little greeblies on the front! Very nicely done!
Yep. I was experimenting with complex frames and greebles on a smaller scale. It was both a success and failure; this being the result. Thank you, anyhow. |
