About this creation
I try to host my best work on my MOCPage (not counting my pre-2005 stuff), and this has been getting good feedback, so I might as well post it here.
First, let me explain the premise.
A decent-sized cruiser on a collision course with Tatooine broke up in flight, sending chunks of hull hurtling to the ground. This particular piece remained pretty stable. Soon after, wandering civilians run out of their homes by Tusken Raiders found this wreck and started a new town around it, building in and around the ruin of the ship. And here's that street with that ruin!
This was built specifically for FBTB's Tatooine Project. I love projects and contests because they're a great source of inspiration when you're low-tide on ideas. However, having Tatooine for a theme is a little dull, only having one color to work with. Still, it allowed me to focus on the architectural aspect, making the buildings look detailed but not overly complex, as Tatooine architecture is rather basic.

A couple renders done for me by Tim Gould. Thanks, they look great!

This person has made his home in an intact corridor of the ship, with a doorway built around a hole in the wall.

Move it aside (or look past it) to see another enterance to what's left of the ship.

I tried to make this look real and complete with all those views inside the ship showing off inside corridors and such, but it's all just a facade. The white parts are for support and are not visible from the front or sides of the model.
