Going Merry from One Piece

About this creation
I'm a big fan of the Japanese anime One Piece. The main characters, the Strawhat Pirates, ride around in a ship with a giant sheep head for a figurehead. The ship is known as the Going Merry and as such the crew's jovial personality is mirrored by the look of the ship. I've always been a fan of pirates and this ship is one that will always be one of my favorites.



Enlarge image 		   The Strawhat mark was added to the sail to add to the ship's character. The model now has a smiling skull, similar to the series.

Enlarge image 		   One of my favorite views. The bush on the cabin was replaced by a spherical tree. It was a much better effect.

Enlarge image 		   The first version of the Going Merry. The side railings were made of bricks, not plates. In the show, a few orange trees are planted on the top of the cabin. The first representation of that feature was a spiky green bush found in a few Aquazone sets.
