Dropship TTU 273
Dropship TTU 273 - fast terrestrial ship with slewing engines.
About this creation
I built this ship in October 2008.
I started with cockpit which was the hardest part of the ship. Another hard part were landing gears. I had to rebuild them many times before I was satisfied. The crew consists of one pilot, one navigator and eight soldiers.

Front landing gear was a little bit fragile.

Rear landing gears.

After I took some photos I installed four LED diods into passenger section.

More photos on my Brickshelf (thire5)
Thanks!

It's very Serenity-esque. I would definitely recommend watching the movie, as well as Firefly, the series that takes place prior to the events of the movie. Excellent work!

That is an awesome looking ship. Some of the ships I've seen on MOCPages, this one included, deserve to be made into an official set by Lego. Once again, an awesome build. Do you have assembly instructions for this ship?

An amazing moc, but I believe the engines are a little too small to scale...You might have scrapped it already, but if not, I would recommend making them bigger.

Wow. I'm suprised that I'm the first to say that this reminds me of Serenity from the "Firefly" TV Series(and movie "Serenity"). If you haven't seen at least the movie, I deffinately suggest doing so.

Great job! Neat, clean, and fast! Looks like it could haul a good load, too. Keep it up!

I'm particularly impressed with the way you used those windscreen pieces to create a unique design. As I am with the landing gear.

The intakes, the VTOL, the coices when to expose studs, so MANY things to like. Good job.

Loving the massive intakes and the original cock-pit design. The colors work well with this.

There is nothing about this I don't love. I'm a little surprised to see those small landing gear supporting such a big ship, how much does it weight?

This is a really great design -- the shape is good for a dropship, but it's the smaller details, like the unique designs of the two intakes up front and the door section in the back, that really make this a standout model. The color blocking is excellent, and I like the way you intentionally broke up the color scheme with gray detailing to give the ship a more mechanical appearance. Great job!
