ASSAULT (Arwing lego digital super model)
Lego Digital Designer Super Model of the Assault Arwing. Model created with what very little free time I had over the course of a week. Model is made purely for aesthetics and would cost circa $460 to build. Unfortunately, certain color bricks used in model make it un-buyable.

Just wondering, do you plan out your LEGO models ahead of time or do you just build? Anyways, this is probably the best Arwing on MOCpages (besides your 64 one, that is)

As an aviation Mechanic, I've always been intrigued by the design seen in Assault... I've also noticed while studying the actual schematics of the Arwing, all four G-diffusers (blue sections) are held together on hinge joints on thin protrusion from the struts. This model is in fact based off of design specs I started in real life, but I used Digital Designer because I don't have enough pieces to finish it. it just substitutes and finishes what I started in real life. however I cheat around corners in a few places. I was focusing on aesthetics as apposed to structural integrity, since gravity doesn't appear present in LDD Haha.
Quoting affliction . This really looks great, but I think it could use some refining if it were going to be built. Without tearing the whole model apart in LDD the only major problem I see is that the lower engines are each held to the wing by a single 1x1 technic brick, which I doubt would hold their weight.
