An armoured assault bike from Greyhein's Anvil.
About this creation
After a long MOC drought, I'm finally back to building. The Scour Hound is an intelligent armored vehicle produced by Greyhein's Anvil. A two wheeled attack craft, it is primarily unarmed, as it serves mostly as a scout vehicle for the rest of the Anvil forces.
Head on, the Scour Hound's spines and glowing red optical sensors are designed to inspire fear in the enemy. Of course, having a tire which is twice the size of a man helps.
The inner workings of the assault bike's drive systems are mostly unarmored, making the vehicle rather susceptible to land mines, as well as making the cogs a nightmare to clean after running over a few soldiers...
In hindsight, there really isn't much of a point putting brake lights onto a rolling death machine. So we'll advertise them as rocket boosters. Yeah, rocket boosters.
A quick look at the heavy armour plating across the front of the vehicle, and the cool little fin things that I finally found a good use for :D
Including tail, the Scour Hound is roughly a foot long. Which, in lego feet, would be easy to figure out if you wanted to. I don't. Anyone wanna try?
But wait! What if one was to install a gigantic cannon on top of a Scour Hound? If that's the case, the assault variant, otherwise known as the Magma Wolf, is the result of such a fusion.
The Vesuvius Cannon is the perfect fit to the Magma Wolf: Light, powerful, and more than a little sexy. It fires a ball of molten plasma at subsonic speeds, making it a slow but powerful tank buster.
The Magma Wolf variant also includes a pair of sensor tusks mounted on the front of the vehicle, used to pinpoint ground targets which have taken cover. It also looks cool.
A size comparison shows us how large the Scour Hound is in comparison to a minifig, also highlighting how much it sucks to be the first Scout Trooper I find while building.
One last overview of the Scour Hound should wrap things up here. To you who read this far, thanks a million, and don't forget those comments!
Till next time,
Greyhein

Dude, join MAOX. Fight alongside my Sirrushian Dragons, Fassio's Archeogenis, and Infinity's Army of Infinity. The Anvil would make one heck of an addition the ranks of MAOX. Other than that, I'll take ten Scour Hounds. FREAKING AWESOME! |
