Vukota Class Science Shuttle is one of the first EB civilian ships.
About this creation
Vukota Class Science Shuttle was created through a joint-cooperative effort by the Technological-Mechanic Directorate and the Jr.Marshalate. The specific purpose of the Vukota Class is to study gravitational effects on small and micro bodies (such as spaceships and shuttles), however the Vukota Class is very versatile and can be fitted for any number of scientific missions.

The Vukota Shuttle shown, the "Mika", is studying gravity while in orbit around Jupiter. It is piloted by Commander Juultu (an Aresian*) and Subcommander Alexa Kaminskii. Scientists Alfonso Kruer and Rhianna MacDougal run experiments inside the main hull.

* Aresians are a group of humans seperated from mainstream humanity after the disaster at Olympus Mons. They developed a primitive communist society and therefore joined the Eastern Block when contact was re-instated. A cultural aspect is that they do not have last names, but instead families are designated by facial tattoos.

Building Notes

This is the first large ship to be essentially studless. There are sixteen exposed studs, not counting crew chairs (+8). Overall shuttles are alot of fun to build, because they're larger than fighters, yet smaller than SHIPs, which can be a real drain to build.

Also, I went somewhat wild with using gears for engine details, but I really like how they turned out.

Excellent job Leonard. I think that is the biggest studless spacecraft I have seen to date, since most sudless ships are fighters. It fits pretty well with your other ships too. Congrats on another job well done!
