"Orange Crush" Custom LAAT Gunship
About this creation
"Orange Crush" was a LAAT GUNSHIP that was made specifically for squad 86 of the 212th legion. This model of the LAAT was highly advanced due to the fact that it had the original gunships side pin point turrets but could also be locked down for space flights. When in the atmosphere the ball turrets would disengage from the side of the ship allowing them to rotate freely. The 86th was an elite squad with advanced training that had just left Kamino near the ending of the clone wars. Due to this they were instilled with an extreme hatred of droids to fuel the final assault on the CIS. When the clone wars ended they continued to serve the empire electing to stay in their phase 1 clone armor. They finally reached their end when they were on the second death star awaiting deployment on Endor.

The turret locked down in its space position sealing the ships 2 side ports.
The ships Auto turrets that were actually seen in the movie. In it the co pilot controlled them. They have full rotational ablity for realistic appearance.

My custom door has another technic piece in it to allow it to be all connected.

Squad 86 inside the main bay. "Orange Crushs's total compacity is 30 troopers but this is just a strike force.

The missile loader. This model of the LAAT had a concealed missile revolver loading system unlike the one seen in Attack of the Clones.

Great, I am not good at modding so i am impressed. I like the fact you kept the med bay and bata tank which is good for picking up troopers and the detail is great! |

Extensive modification on the lego company's....it probably gained a good pound based in that it is now solid. |

Awesome mod! And in response to your comment, my gunship was intended to be a republic logo, I guess I put the wrong one on, oops. I don't have anything against stormtroopers either, haha. (: |

I really like this gunship! The orange was a great addition to the color scheme. Would you please show me how to build the wing turrets? I tried to build them from just the pics shown, but i couldn't get it to work. Thanks in advance, LesPaulPlayer47 |
